Mechanisms which source photons due to electron fluence must be implemented and validated. .. 3. Positrons .. ------------ .. Adding positron physics to NittanyPhysics. It will then become optional in user input to double the pair production cross section for electrons (which is currently necessarily done). .. 4. Protons .. ---------- .. Adding proton physics to NittanyPhysics. .. 5. Photon Model Improvement .. --------------------------- .. Improving models used for photon physics. For instance, incorporation of Doppler and binding effects (DBE) in Compton scattering, perhaps more. .. 6. Low energy update? .. --------------------- .. (Still considering whether to do this sooner or later.) Improvement of physics models to go lower than 1 keV, with a particular focus on electron / positron models. .. 7. Custom Materials .. ------------------- .. For some commonly-used materials, such as water, we can use cross sections more specifically tailored to their molecular structure than treating them as mass-weighted mixtures of atoms.
